JOB PURPOSE

The Digital Transformation Specialist is a focused role designed to accelerate Ice Cream Factory journey toward paperless operations and real-time digital monitoring. This specialist will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and deploying comprehensive digital systems that transform traditional processes into intelligent, automated, and data-driven operations.

Working closely with operations teams, and site leadership, you will establish robust digital infrastructure for KPI monitoring, operational tracking, and real-time decision support systems. Your mission is to create a sustainable digital ecosystem that enhances operational efficiency, reduces waste, improves data accuracy, and enables predictive insights across all factory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Digital Dashboard & Analytics Implementation

·       Design and deploy PowerBI dashboards for real-time KPI and compliance monitoring across factory functions.

·       Create automated reporting systems that eliminate manual data compilation and reduce reporting time

2. Smart Manufacturing Systems implementation

·       Configure electronic document management systems for SOPs, work instructions, and compliance records

·       Create real-time alarm and notification systems for process deviations and equipment issues

·       Implement automated data pipelines to eliminate manual data entry and transcription

·       Establish data validation and quality controls to ensure accuracy and reliability

3. Digital Training & Change Management

·       Develop user training programs for new digital systems and tools

·       Create digital user manuals and quick reference guides

·       Conduct workshops on digital best practices and system optimization

4. Performance Tracking & Optimization

·       Monitor and measure the impact of digital implementations on efficiency and accuracy

·       Continuously optimize digital systems based on user feedback and performance data

·       Document lessons learned and best practices for future digital transformation initiatives

5. Compliance & Security

·       Manage budget tracking across all Capital Expenditures of the factory.

·       Prepare business cases for automation and digital upgrades ensure ROI tracking.

6. Safety, Risk & Cyber Risk Management

·       Ensure all digital systems comply with regulatory requirements and audit standards

·       Implement proper access controls and data security measures

·       Maintain digital audit trails for all critical business processes

·       Support cybersecurity requirements for new digital touchpoints

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Requirements:

·       Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or related field

·       Certifications in PowerBI, Microsoft Azure, or similar business intelligence platforms (preferred)

·       Lean Six Sigma or digital transformation certifications (advantage)

Skills & Competencies:

·       Business Intelligence & Analytics: Expert proficiency in PowerBI, Tableau, or similar BI tools with ability to create complex dashboards and automated reports

·       Database Management: Strong SQL skills and experience with industrial databases, historians (OSIsoft PI, Wonderware, etc.)

·       System Integration: Experience with API development, ETL processes, and system integrations in manufacturing environments

·       Industrial IoT: Knowledge of sensor technologies, MQTT protocols, and industrial communication standards

·       Mobile Applications: Experience with mobile app deployment for industrial use cases

·       Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud for data storage and analytics

·       Manufacturing Systems: Understanding of MES, ERP (SAP), SCADA, and manufacturing execution workflows

Experience:

·       3-7 years in digital transformation, business intelligence, or industrial IT roles

·       Proven track record of implementing paperless initiatives in manufacturing environments

·       Experience with change management and user adoption strategies for digital systems

·       Background in manufacturing operations or industrial engineering (preferred)

·       Experience managing time-sensitive digital implementation projects
