Position Summary:

As an Actuarial Analyst for TIRD, you will lead strategic projects, set industry standards, and provide insights for the sector. Responsibilities include developing pricing models, calculating reference loss cost and IBNR for the industry. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated individual to contribute to the advancement of the insurance industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth analysis of insurance industry data to assess risk, monitor trends, and identify challenges and opportunities for the industry.

• Collaborate with TGIA and OIC in the development and implementation of new products and initiatives, providing actuarial expertise and insights.

• Utilize actuarial techniques and statistical methodologies to calculate IBNR (Incurred But Not Reported), reference loss cost and standard premium rates for the industry.

• Design, develop, and manage data pipelines to support actuarial work.

• Stay updated with regulatory changes, industry standards, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Actuarial Science or a related field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Finance).

• At least 5 years of experience as an Actuarial Analyst or in a similar role.

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Superior quantitative skills, including proficiency in statistical analysis and modeling.

• Strong communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently (self-starter and independent learner) and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in Excel and prior experience in SQL. Knowledge of R, Python, or SAS is a plus.

• A comprehensive understanding of insurance principles and practices is a plus.

• Progress towards actuarial designation (e.g., CAS, SOA, FIA) is preferred.
