Head of Finance (Subsidiary – United States)
Job Summary:
Head of Finance is responsible for leading the overall finance function of the U.S. subsidiary, setting direction, ensuring compliance, and driving business performance. This role focuses on strategic oversight, governance, internal controls, and decision-making, while leveraging Shared Services and the Finance Section Manager for execution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Financial Leadership
Define financial strategy, targets, and performance framework for the U.S. entity
Lead budgeting, dynamic forecasting (DF), and long-term planning at a strategic level
Provide forward-looking insights and recommendations to senior management
Align financial direction with Group FP&A and corporate objectives
2. Governance, Compliance & Internal Control
Own overall compliance with related financial reporting standards, tax regulations, group reporting standards, and company policies
Establish and oversee internal control frameworks
Ensure effectiveness of controls across finance and cross-functional processes
Review and approve key accounting judgments, financial statements, and critical decisions
Oversee tax compliance through coordination with external advisors
3. Financial Performance & Business Partnering
Act as a key business partner to the Group and local leadership team
Challenge and validate business assumptions, pricing strategies, and investment decisions
Drive profitability, cost efficiency, and financial discipline across the organization
4. Treasury & Financial Strategy
Define approach for cash flow management and working capital optimization
Oversee liquidity planning, funding strategy, and use of financial instruments
Provide direction to Treasury Shared Services on key priorities
5. Oversight of Operations & Stakeholder Management
Oversee outputs from Shared Services (Accounting & Treasury) and ensure quality and compliance
Manage relationship with Shared Services, external auditors, and tax advisors
Lead and develop finance team, including the Finance Section Manager
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
CPA or equivalent is strongly preferred
10–15 years of finance experience, with at least 5 years in leadership roles
Proven experience in FP&A, business partnering, and financial management
Experience working with Shared Services and multinational environments
Working Hours & Time Zone Alignment:
This role is based in Thailand but supports U.S. operations
The working schedule follows a non-standard structure and differs from typical Thailand office hours. The role requires at least 4 hours of daily overlap with U.S. business hours to support collaboration and operational coordination.
Regular evening work is expected to ensure effective collaboration with U.S. stakeholders
Travel Requirement:
Ability to travel to the United States as required for business purposes
Mandatory travel for year-end physical inventory (stock count) and other key activities
Must be able to travel internationally without restrictions
