Equipment Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Equipment Troubleshooting

   • Perform routine and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure stable operation.

   • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime and maintain production quality.

2. Equipment Improvement & Optimization

   • Identify opportunities for equipment performance improvement and implement effective solutions.

   • Support process optimization to enhance production efficiency, reliability and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness)

3. Installation & Qualification

   • Support installation, setup, and qualification of new equipment and Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety requirements, and manufacturing specifications.

4. Documentation & Reporting

   • Maintain accurate equipment history, maintenance records, and technical documentation.

   • Provide regular reports on equipment performance, MTBF, MTTR, downtime analysis, and corrective actions.

5. Cross-functional Support

   • Collaborate with production, process, and quality teams to solve equipment-related issues and provide technical support and training to technicians and production staff.

6. Continuous Improvement & Projects

   • Participate in cost reduction, productivity improvement, and automation projects.

   • Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

7. Compliance & Safety

   • Ensure equipment operation meets company policies, safety standards, and industry regulations and promote and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Qualifications

1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Optical, Mechanical, or Electrical.

2. Experience: Minimum 5 years of industry experience in Electronics, Optical manufacturing and Equipment Engineer. other concerned.

3. Technical Knowledge:

o   Experience in equipment troubleshooting and root cause analysis (RCA)

o   Ability to read and understand technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.

o   Strong data analysis skills for equipment performance and failure trend monitoring.

o   Basic knowledge of automation systems, PLCs, sensors, and motion control is a plus.

o   Knowledge of common measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, multimeter, power meter, spectrum analyzer, interferometer).

o   Familiar with semiconductor / electronic / optical product manufacturing machine & process.
