Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer to join our Solutions department. You will support the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical and instrumentation systems specifically for hydroelectric and renewable energy projects. This role provides technical leadership to ensure all systems are reliable, efficient, and compliant with safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Design Leadership: Lead the design, review, and technical support of E&I systems for renewable energy facilities.

• System Documentation: Develop and interpret detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and control philosophies.

• Technical Authority: Act as the internal expert for E&I matters during design reviews, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

• Automation & Control: Contribute to the conceptual and detailed design of PLC/SCADA systems and plant operations.

• Component Selection: Specify critical components such as circuit breakers, VFDs, PLCs, and protection systems.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with mechanical, civil, and process teams to ensure seamless system integration.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) engineering.

• Industry Knowledge: Experience in hydroelectric power, renewable energy, or power plant industries is highly preferred.

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial control systems/architectures. Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ISO is an advantage.

• Mindset: Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.

• Language: Good command of English (spoken and written) is required.
