Purchasing Engineer

About the role

As a Purchasing Engineer at Thai Sintokogio Co., Ltd., you will play a crucial role in the company's procurement and supply chain operations. This full-time position, based in Ayutthaya, will involve managing the purchasing to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of materials and components necessary for the company's manufacturing processes and sourcing outsources.

What you'll be doing

1. Conduct market research to identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favourable purchasing contracts

2. Manage the procurement of raw materials, components, and other supplies in a timely and cost-effective manner

3. Collaborate with production and logistics teams to forecast and plan inventory levels

4. Implement and monitor inventory control systems to minimise stockouts and overstocking

5. Analyse purchasing data and generate reports to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements

6. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

What we're looking for

1. Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

2. At least 3 years of experience in a purchasing or supply chain role, preferably in the manufacturing industry

3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise inventory and procurement processes

4. Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders

5. Proficiency in outsourcing finding and evaluation

6. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead cross-functional projects
