Institutional Dealing (AVP/VP)
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and follow through on institutional initiatives set by management, including trade execution support, client servicing improvements, and operational/process enhancements to support day-to-day business operations.
Monitor and analyze client activity, service usage, and operational feedback to identify gaps, and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate issues to relevant parties.
Maintain and improve internal tools, workflows, and platforms used for institutional trading and client servicing, including evaluating enhancements where needed.
Cultivate relationships with institutional clients and key stakeholders, including asset managers, hedge funds, insurers, pension funds, exchanges, and business partners.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a professional, collaborative, and innovative environment.
Coordinate with legal, compliance, back-office, IT, trading, research, and risk management teams to ensure seamless trade execution, regulatory reporting, and effective client servicing.
Report regularly on client activity, trading volumes, and service usage metrics, providing clear and factual updates to management
Attributes required:
Comprehensive knowledge of financial products, including equities, derivatives, fixed income, and alternative investments.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for building and maintaining relationships with high-profile clients.
Ability to zoom out and understand broader business implications, while identifying areas for improvement.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Analytical mindset with expertise in market analysis, risk management, and data-driven decision-making.
Proficiency in financial technology and institutional trading systems such as Bloomberg or Thomson Reuters.
Exceptional leadership and people management skills, focused on team motivation and growth.
Results-oriented with a commitment to client satisfaction and regulatory compliance.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or other related fields
Minimum 6 years of professional working experience in institutional sales, trading, or asset management, with a proven track record in equities and derivatives.
Must have demonstrated ability to manage institutional relationships and coordinate across relevant stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with responsibility driving team performance and execution.
Licenses required: IC Plain, IC Complex 1, IC Complex 2, and IC Complex 3
