1 September 2026 – 31 October 2026       : Mon-Fri.,      08.00-17.00 hrs.

1 November 2026 – 30 November 2026   : Mon-Sat.,      08.00-17.00 hrs.

Responsibilities:

• Inspection & Verification

  • Piping Systems: Inspect the repair, replacement, overhaul, modification, installation, and demolition of piping systems. Perform detailed dimensional checks, fit-up inspections, and visual weld inspections.

  • Welding Compliance: Review and verify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) records.

  • NDE & Testing: Coordinate and witness Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) activities (RT, UT, PT, MT) and witness hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests.

  • Flange Management: Inspect flange face conditions, gasket types, installation compliance, and bolt torquing/tensioning protocols per ASME/ANSI standards.

  • Column Internals (Specialized): QC inspection for column internals (packing/distributors/Liquid collector tray), ensuring strict adherence to vendor manuals and levelness deviation criteria. Verify packing material types, quantities, and conditions against specifications. Perform dimensional and alignment checks and witness final closure and sign-off.

  • Cleaning Oversight: Conduct pre- and post-cleaning inspections for all methods, including high-pressure, dry ice, mechanical, and chemical cleaning to verify surface integrity.

  • Associated Disciplines: Verify insulation material compliance, thickness, cladding installation, weather protection, and sealing. Inspect steam and utility media tracing systems (e.g., hot water), including small-bore tubing and compression fittings, ensuring correct tube bending, pocket-free sloping, leak-free connections, and proper thermal contact prior to insulation closure. Inspect lining/coating works.

  • Final Acceptance: Coordinate with the TAM Engineer or Production (if any) to secure final sign-off on specialized tasks requiring technical verification.

• Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Standards Adherence: Ensure all works comply with TA2026 specifications, applicable codes, and international standards.

  • ITP & Check Sheet Management: Prepare and drive the completion of QA/QC check sheets according to Work Packages (WP) and ensure all "Hold" and "Witness" points are signed.

  • Defect Management: Issue and follow up on QC Finding Reports (QCFR), ensuring timely and effective corrective actions are executed by the contractor.

  • Integrity Management: Ensure flange joint integrity management and overall QA/QC requirements are strictly maintained across all assigned work packages.

• Contractor & Stakeholder Management

  • Field Coordination: Coordinate directly with contractor QC teams, field job supervisors, production teams, and third-party inspection bodies to achieve company quality standards.

  • Technical Coordination: Coordinate with the TAM Engineer for technical verification, and report QC Finding Reports (QCFR) promptly to relevant parties to resolve issues without schedule delays.

  • Progress Reporting: Submit comprehensive daily and weekly QC progress reports to the TA QC Lead.

  • Meetings & Alignment: Attend pre-job meetings, toolbox talks, and QC coordination meetings as required to support and guide contractor personnel on inspection standards, for critical jobs.

• Materials & Documentation

  • Check Sheet Execution: Prepare and drive the completion of QA/QC check sheets in accordance with applicable Work Packages (WP) and Standard Procedures (SP).

  • Work Package Ownership: Act as the formal Work Package (WP) Owner. Collect all QA/QC check sheets upon work completion, sign relevant sections on the QC Cover Sheet, and ensure 100% completeness before submission.

  • Dossier Management: Compile and submit Pressure Test Packages, Flange Management Records, and Inspection Test Records e.g., Signed-off QC Check Sheets, NDE Reports. Ensure all QC documentation is traceable and accurate.

  • Handover Filing: Transfer completed QC dossiers to Document Control for formal recording and separate system filing within the required timeframe.

  • Punch List Tracking: Maintain and update the project Punch List with real-time status tracking until closeout.

  • Traceability Verification: Review Material Test Reports (MTRs) and Weld Maps to ensure complete material traceability.

• General Responsibilities

  • Daily Surveillance: Perform daily inspection rounds and issue field inspection reports as required.

  • ITP Maintenance: Maintain an up-to-date Inspection Test Plan (ITP) throughout the turnaround execution phase.

  • Site Safety Compliance: Ensure strict personal compliance with site HSE requirements, PPE usage, and the permit-to-work system during all inspection activities (including Confined Space and Lifting/Rigging zones).

  • Dossier Review: Assist the TA QC Lead in reviewing and verifying the definitive final QC check sheet for each completed work package.

  • Issue Escalation: Escalate critical quality deviations for normal or critical works execution issues promptly to the TA QC Lead.

  • Assigned Duties: Perform any other QC-related tasks as assigned by the TA QC Lead.

• Technical Competencies

  • Code Mastery: Strong knowledge of ASME B31.3 Process Piping code, ASME Section IX / ISO 15614 welding procedure qualifications, and related API standards.

  • Technical Interpretation: Highly proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, isometric drawings, welding maps, and piping specifications.

  • Testing & NDE Evaluation: Practical understanding of NDE methods (RT, UT, PT, MT) with the ability to review NDE records, alongside knowledge of hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing procedures.

  • Joint & Assembly Principles: Deep familiarity with flange management principles, bolt torquing/tensioning procedures, and insulation/heat tracing/lining inspection requirements.

  • Internals Precision: Sound understanding of column internals installation requirements, vendor manual interpretation, and specialized alignment verification (e.g., clearance gaps, tray levelness, etc.).

  • System Lifecycle Management: Competent in preparing, managing, and closing out ITPs, ITRs, QCFRs, and comprehensive QC Handover Dossiers.

  • Collaborative Mindset: Works cooperatively with contractor QC teams, field supervisors, and operations personnel across the organization to safely achieve shared turnaround objectives.

  • Customer & Owner Focus: Builds trust and delivers quality inspection solutions that fully meet site expectations, ensuring the final process equipment is handed over safe, reliable, and fit for purpose.

Qualification

• Education: High Vocational Certificate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Welding, or a related technical field).

• Experience: Minimum 10 years of dedicated experience in QC inspection within petrochemical, refinery, or chemical plant environments. Experience in a Turnaround / Shutdown environment is mandatory.

• Welding Credentials: Certified CSWIP 3.1 or AWS CWI (Welding Inspector) credentials are highly advantageous for selection but are not a limiting factor for candidates with extensive proven field experience. (optional)

• Legally Mandatory Requirements: Valid certification for working in Confined Spaces per Thai Department of Labor standards.

• System Understanding: Deep understanding of insulation systems and corrosion protection for piping systems.
