Operations Officer (Phuket Based)

The Job Purpose

We are looking for detail oriented and customer service minded operations officers to join our dynamic Destination Management Company (DMC) to support all our operational requirements and ensure our services exceed all of our client’s expectations. 
 

Role and Responsibilities
 

• Assist in running & planning of transfers, excursions, group and individual packages to ensure a smooth operation 

• Monitor that the delivery and execution of all services meet the quality and operations standards agreed

• Handle professionally any operations-related enquiries with both suppliers and clients

• Ensure all service requirements are up to date, confirmed and recorded correctly into the system (Travel Studio) 

• Plan and assign driver and tour guides for transfers and in-house excursions

• Support and Book local IDS excursion bookings made by our Sales Reps. 

• Act as DA liaison between Airport Representatives, Tour Desks, Guides and Drivers  

• Print the job orders and coordinate with all suppliers

• Print Airport welcome signs and prepare Welcome Packs. 

• Monitor the office phone and take the emergency phone on rotation

• Record and investigate any cases of incidents, accidents, or complaints

• Print the arrival and departure lists for the airport reps

• Liaise with reservation staff and partners regarding the status of reservations

• Ensure that all requests are processed within specified time schedule

• Maintain good relationships with partners and ensure suppliers provide services in line with company guidelines

• Take calls from suppliers/clients and respond to any questions or concerns effectively and promptly

• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by Line manager

Experience & Skills

• Good working command of written and spoken English (other languages are an advantage).

• High level of attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities without losing focus on planning ahead.

• Focused on a high degree of customer care and service.

• Be able to work flexible hours (including some weekends).

• Previous experience as a travel operation officer minimum 1 year of experience in Inbound DMC/Tour Operations or related tourism field preferred.

• Experience with Thailand destinations

• Organized with a positive attitude, hardworking, professional with a sense of humour and enjoys working in a team environment.

• Good working command of written and spoken English (other languages are an advantage).

• Strong organizational skills, ability to work under pressure and to prioritize tasks.

• Good computer literacy (MS Office; Travel related software such as Travel Studio)
