Sales Technical Support Engineer
We are seeking a technically strong, customer-focused Sales Technical Support Engineer to drive growth and provide expert support across Power, LNG, Renewable Energy, Oil & Gas, and Petrochemical sectors in Thailand. You’ll be the bridge between our sales team, engineering, and customers — combining deep product knowledge in PLC/DCS, field instruments, and valves with strong commercial acumen.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Sales Technical Support
Work with Sales/Account Managers to design technical solutions using PLC/DCS systems, field instruments, control valves, and actuators
Prepare technical proposals, specifications, datasheets, and solution presentations for customers
Conduct product demonstrations, sizing/selection of valves & instruments, and system architecture reviews
Respond to technical inquiries and RFQs from EPCs, end-users, and system integrators
Post-Sales & Application Support
Provide on-site and remote commissioning assistance, troubleshooting, and training for installed systems
Support warranty claims, failure analysis, and root cause investigations
Lead technical training for customers and channel partners on product operation and maintenance
Business Development Support
Identify new applications and opportunities in Thermal Power, LNG, WTE/Biomass, Oil & Gas upstream/downstream, Chemicals & Petrochemicals
Maintain relationships with key accounts: plant engineers, maintenance, procurement, and project teams
Gather market intelligence on competitor products, pricing, and industry trends
Achieve assigned sales and technical support KPIs
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Liaise with global product teams for technical clarification and product feedback
Support marketing with case studies, application notes, and technical content
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 3-7+ years in technical sales, application engineering, or service for PLC/DCS, field instruments, control valves, actuators
Industry Exposure: Hands-on experience in Thermal Power, LNG, WTE/Biomass, Oil & Gas, Chemicals/Petrochemicals
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of DCS/PLC platforms.
Familiar with HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus protocols
Valve, instrument selection, P&IDs, loop diagrams
SCADA/HMI basics a plus
Soft Skills: Excellent communication in Thai and English, presentation skills, problem-solving mindset
Other: Willing to travel up to 50% within Thailand and occasionally SEA. Valid driver’s license.
