Job Title: Senior Officer – Mechanical Engineer (On-site)

Brief Job Description:

Accountability:

1. Provide support in planning of new and expansion projects for Mine Facilities including managing and controlling of the mechanical/electrical component and contractor readiness intended for these projects to ensure alignment with Mine Plan.

2. Perform annual CAPEX and OPEX budget estimate for mechanical/electrical components and services under the scope of works for projects and spare parts which are required for sustaining the maintenance and operation of Mine Facilities in accordance with the Mine Plan.

3. Perform basic to advance engineering and design concept required for new projects and expansion projects including preparation of TOR and RFQ Documents for mechanical/electrical components and contractor readiness intended for projects, spare parts and services which are required for sustaining the operation and maintenance of Mine Facilities in accordance with the technical and commercial requirements prior to procurement process.

4.Provide support in procurement process for mechanical/electrical component and contractor readiness intended for projects, spare parts and services which are required for sustaining the operation and maintenance of Mine Facilities after distribution of TOR and RFQ Documents to potential Vendors/Contractors/Suppliers to ensure achievement and alignment with the company goals.

5. Provide support in monitoring and controlling all related expenses involve in the procurement process for mechanical/electrical component and contractor readiness intended for projects, spare parts and services which are required to be within the approved budget including analyzing these expenses to prevent budget overrun and reduce unnecessary costs.

6. Provide support in monitoring the status, controlling and inspection of the work progress related to manufacturing and delivery of Goods and Services procured for projects and spare including contract management support in accordance with the agreed conditions in the Purchase Order and Contract to ensure compliance with scope, time, cost and quality.

7. Provide support project execution team and collaboration with other internal and external stakeholders during the installation, inspection, testing and commissioning activities involved in project execution phase and plant relocation works under Mine Facilities.

Job Qualification

- Bachelor’s Degree or high in the Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or other related engineering field.

- Have 3-5 years or more of work experience with sufficient Mechanical or Electrical expertise and technical background particularly in Bulk Material Handling System and Dewatering System in Mining Industry.

- Have general experience in basic to advance engineering and design of mechanical or electrical systems and components used in Bulk Material Handling System and Dewatering System (e.g. Steel Structures, Conveyor Drive Units, Take-up Winches, Conveyor Belts, Conveyor Pulleys, Conveyor Garland Idlers, Auto-Lubrication System, Pump Systems, High Voltage/Medium Voltage/Low Voltage Electrical System, etc.).

- Have general experience in project management particularly in Bulk Material Handling System and Dewatering Pump System construction works including operation and maintenance.
