Accounting Manager /Senior Manager – Business Services & Outsourcing

Work Location: Near BTS Asoke & MRT Sukhumvit

Reporting to: Partner, Business Services Outsourcing

Job Function:

You will work closely with Managing Partner and be responsible for the planning, execution and review of accounting and outsourcing engagements, as well as participate in the training, evaluation and counselling of junior staff. Manage a portfolio of multinational clients and anticipating client’s requests/needs, keeping clients informed of progress and maintaining regular contact with clients. Take a lead role on developing business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Run large projects or multiple smaller projects and is accountable for quality of output;

• Leads problem solving and shapes projects/redirects team to address changing client needs;

• Participate in the creation of the annual budgets and periodic forecasts;

• Assisting the Principal/Senior Manager in business development initiatives, generate sales, manage major delivery activities, provide senior management input to the accounting team, assist in positioning HLB as a niche market leader and to differentiate us from our competitors;

• Building deep and long lasting client relationships to enhance the reputation of HLB as advisor of choice and generate on-going revenues;

• Exemplary leader/role model who facilitates an effective project environment and coaches staff members;

• Oversee month-end and year-end close activities, from balance sheet and cash account reconciliations to financial statement preparation – reviewing all reconciliations and ensuring they are followed-up on monthly;

• Have a comprehensive technical and functional understanding of all accounting processes in use (i.e. AR, AP and general ledger) and any relevant amendments or appendices, and of the client’s structure and needed interfaces;

• Provide consultation to clients on tax matters and compliance process;

• Manage tax compliance processes (including corporate tax, international tax, tax planning, VAT, withholding tax and payroll tax work);

• Special projects and other functions as required by Partner or client.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor degree or Master degree in accounting and must have CPD license; 

• Minimum 3–7 years’ experience in the accounting field or outsourced accounting service field, with proven experience in a Manager-level position;

• Have a knowledge of Thai Revenue Code; 

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills; 

• Proactive attitude with proven ability to implement solution to problems; 

• Able to work under pressure and to tight deadline; 

• Positive thinking.
