Project Engineering Manager
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and results-driven Project Engineering Manager to lead engineering projects, capital investments, and infrastructure development at our Bangkok manufacturing facility.
This role will play a key part in driving strategic projects, including the purchasing, installation, commissioning, and validation of new equipment, while supporting the development and improvement of our manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, vendors, and senior management to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage engineering projects from planning through implementation, commissioning, and handover.
Manage machinery acquisition, installation, modification, and infrastructure improvement projects.
Develop and execute CapEx plans for new equipment, technology, and facility infrastructure.
Prepare project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource requirements, ensuring effective project delivery.
Monitor project progress, costs, risks, and performance, and provide regular updates to management.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders, contractors, suppliers, and external vendors to ensure smooth project execution.
Support the installation, qualification, and validation of new equipment and manufacturing systems.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, enhance product quality, and optimize manufacturing processes.
Evaluate and implement new technologies, automation solutions, and engineering improvements.
Manage engineering and infrastructure budgets and monitor spending against approved financial plans.
Lead, mentor, and develop engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel.
Ensure engineering projects comply with relevant safety, quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing facility.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Automation, or a related field.
Minimum 8 years of experience in engineering project management within a manufacturing, industrial, pharmaceutical, or medical device environment.
Proven experience managing capital investment and engineering projects, including equipment acquisition, installation, commissioning, and infrastructure improvements.
Strong experience in CapEx planning, budgeting, cost control, and project management.
Solid technical knowledge of machinery, automation, manufacturing equipment, and production systems.
Experience working with cross-functional teams, contractors, suppliers, and external vendors.
Familiarity with engineering and project management tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, and ERP systems.
Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications would be an advantage.

Preferred Knowledge
Knowledge or experience in the following areas would be an advantage:
Knowledge of medical device regulatory standards (ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, GMP, ISO 14971) and machinery safety compliance (Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, ISO 13849-1, ATEX 2014/34/EU, PED 2014/68/EU).
