About the role
The Procurement Manager will define and drive procurement strategies for Raw Materials and Packaging in alignment with the overall business plan. This role involves developing and managing Category Strategies for critical items, designing sourcing models such as multi/dual sourcing and long-term strategic contracts, and synchronizing demand planning with sourcing to support seasonal peaks and business scaling.
Roles and responsibilities:
2.1 Strategy & Category Leadership
-Define and drive procurement strategies for RM and PM in alignment with the overall business plan.
-Develop and manage Category Strategies for critical items (e.g., chilies, core packaging).
-Design sourcing models such as multi/dual sourcing and long-term strategic contracts.
-Synchronize demand planning with sourcing to support seasonal peaks and business scaling.
2.2 Cost & Value Management
-Manage costs based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), including price, logistics, quality, and yield.
-Drive initiatives for Cost Saving and Cost Avoidance to optimize financial performance.
2.3 Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
-Select, develop, and manage a robust supplier network (Approved / Preferred / Backup).
-Establish and monitor Supplier KPIs based on QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability).
-Conduct regular Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with key suppliers.
-Partner with strategic suppliers to enhance competitive advantages.
2.4 Risk Management & Supply Continuity
-Identify and mitigate risks such as material shortages, price volatility, natural disasters, and geopolitical factors.
-Develop and execute ERM / BCM / BCP frameworks within the procurement function.
-Define safety stock and inventory strategies for critical items.
2.5 Quality & Compliance
-Collaborate with QA to ensure suppliers comply with BRC, IFS, HACCP, HALAL, and other relevant standards.
-Oversee Specification management, COA, Traceability, and Change Control processes.
-Support audits from customers and external regulatory bodies.
2.6 ESG & Sustainable Procurement
-Integrate ESG, BSCI, and HRDD (Human Rights Due Diligence) principles into procurement processes.
-Assess supplier risks regarding sustainability and monitor improvement plans.
-Promote supply chain traceability and ethical sourcing practices.
2.7 Systems, Processes & Governance
-Develop and maintain Procurement Policies, SOPs, and the Approval Matrix.
-Leverage ERP systems and data dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
-Ensure data integrity for all supplier records, pricing, and contracts.
2.8 Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration
-Manage, develop, and upskill the Procurement team.
-Foster seamless coordination with Production, QA, R&D, Finance, and Sales departments.
-Present analytical insights and strategic recommendations to senior executive management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or higher.
2. Minimum 10 years’ experience in Procurement Management and Operation both of Food Ingredient and Non Food such as Packaging, Premium or any relevant.
3. Strong knowledge in Food Standard cover in GHPs, HACCP, ISO 9001:2015, FSSC, IFS, BRC, HALAL or any relevant.
4. Able to Apply Procurement Process to align with Risk Management and Sustainability Development such as Evaluate supplier risks, ESG standards, and compliance audits includes BSCI and HRDD.
5. Experiences in Food Manufacturing and Exporting would be advantage.
6. Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
7. Good command in English for communication
8. Keen in global negotiation and cost-optimization strategies.
9. Good at ERP usage and computer skills.
10. Excellent in stakeholder and team management.
11. Leadership and teambuilding.
