About the role

At ALP, technology enables how we move, store, and deliver a smarter, faster, and safer. As Senior Maintenance Engineer (AS/RS), you’ll play a key role in ensuring our automated warehouse systems operate reliably, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.

This role focuses on the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of AS/RS (warehouse automation systems). You’ll work closely with operations teams, automation vendors, and engineering partners to keep systems running smoothly and support high-performance logistics operations.


What you will do

AS/RS maintenance & system reliability

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities for AS/RS and warehouse automation systems

  • Monitor system performance, identify issues early, and minimise operational downtime

  • Troubleshoot automation, mechanical, and electrical issues related to AS/RS equipment, conveyors, sensors, PLCs, and related systems

  • Coordinate emergency maintenance and root cause analysis for recurring breakdowns or system failures

  • Support system recovery and operational continuity during technical incidents

Automation & technical support

  • Work closely with automation vendors, system integrators, and internal engineering teams on technical support and maintenance planning

  • Support testing, commissioning, upgrades, and optimisation of automation systems

  • Review technical documentation, maintenance procedures, and system manuals to ensure operational readiness

  • Assist operations teams with system-related troubleshooting and technical guidance

Maintenance planning & asset management

  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance schedules for automation equipment and related infrastructure

  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, spare parts inventory, and equipment histories

  • Monitor lifecycle condition of critical automation assets and recommend replacement or upgrade plans

  • Support maintenance budgeting and spare parts planning

Safety, compliance & improvement

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety standards, operational procedures, and statutory requirements

  • Conduct regular inspections and support audit readiness related to automation systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency, and maintenance processes

  • Promote safe work practices during maintenance and troubleshooting activities


Who you are

  • Hands-on, technically strong, and comfortable working in automated operational environments

  • A practical problem-solver who stays calm during system breakdowns or operational disruptions

  • Detail-oriented, organised, and proactive in preventing issues before they impact operations

  • Strong communicator who can coordinate effectively with operations teams, vendors, and engineers

  • Curious about automation technology and motivated by continuous improvement


What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related field

  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, ideally within AS/RS, warehouse automation, manufacturing automation, or industrial systems

  • Good understanding of AS/RS systems, conveyors, PLC controls, sensors, and automated material handling equipment

  • Experience with preventive maintenance planning and troubleshooting automation systems

  • Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, and system documentation

  • Good understanding of safety practices within automated environments

  • Good command of Thai and English
