Assistant Project Manager - NPD/EPD (2 years contract)

About the role

This role offers the opportunity to lead new product and existing product developments across the Supply organisation within a Country and to work closely with all supply and other business functions at local and regional level with a focus on project execution to deliver on time results

The role involves full responsibility over the management and leadership of project management across sections of the product supply area which could include Manufacturing, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Procurement. 

Your responsibilities

  • Lead project development from beginning to end

  • Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents

  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

  • Liaison with all stake holders/ cross functional team. (R&D, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing and Marketing) to ensure smooth execution of projects

  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders

  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team

  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path

  • Track project milestones and deliverables

  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

  • Ensure that major projects are rapidly carried through to completion and that the promised timelines are fully delivered and recognisable in the bottom line

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or related fields.

  • Graduate with 3ys+ multi-functional supply experience in an international business; commercial exposure and credibility

  • Strong track record of delivery is critical

  • Project Management experience (Preferable in FMCG business)

  • Proven experience in multi-functional / multinational project management

  • An excellent communication skill at all levels of the organization. 

  • Fluent in English. Fluency in local languages advantageous
