Tax Consultant - Phuket Based (Open for New Graduates)
About the role:
Workplace: BDO in Thailand (Phuket Office)
You will operate as part of the BDO Phuket team within the line of service and at times across the practice. You will assist the team in providing quality client services, meeting business objectives, and supporting other priorities.
Key responsibilities
Assist in delivery of small tax compliance clients.
Assist in preparation and review of corporate secretarial documents.
Communication with clients requesting information and seeking clarifications.
Assist in preparation of proposal and engagement letter.
Assist with job take on process.
Assist with tax advisory, specifically drafting tax advisory memorandum, email advice, etc.
Preparation of registration/ application forms and verifying information/documents.
Assist with submission (manual/ online) of application/ documents with Revenue Department, Ministry of Commerce, Board of Investment, and other government bodies.
Efficient and effective delivery of tasks on time and on budget, and in compliance with quality and risk standards including ISQC1 and firm policies and procedures, and in accordance with exceptional client service.
About you
New graduate or 1 year of experience in relevant field.
Bachelor's degree in accountancy.
Good in English both written and spoken.
Demonstrates accountability for personal development and continuous growth.
Works effectively as part of a team.
Awareness of opportunities for improvement internally and externally, and assistance in digital solutions.
Understanding of Thai Revenue Code, including corporate income tax, personal income tax, specific business tax, value added tax and stamp duty.
Understanding of Civil and Commercial Code.
Understanding of Thailand's income tax treaties.
Knowledge of preparation and review of tax returns.
