About the role
The HR Manager will oversee the Human Resources, Health & Safety, and General Affairs functions for manufacturing operations. Working closely with plant leadership, this role ensures the factory is equipped with the right talent, capabilities, systems, and work environment to operate safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with Thai labor laws.
Key responsibilities
Lead the factory HR function as a trusted partner to Plant Management and department heads, advising on organization structure, manpower planning, and people development.
Develop and drive HR strategies, policies, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with manufacturing goals and workforce needs.
Manage recruitment and manpower planning for factory, technical, and support roles, partnering with managers to ensure adequate staffing, capability, and succession coverage.
Oversee onboarding, probation, and integration of new hires.
Oversee monthly payroll and ensure accurate administration of salaries, overtime, allowances, benefits, and statutory requirements (including Social Security).
Support compensation reviews to maintain competitive, equitable pay practices.
Lead annual training needs analysis and development plans, including mandatory safety, quality, hygiene, and HSE training with accurate record-keeping.
Build supervisory/management capability and support succession planning.
Foster positive employee relations and advise managers on disciplinary issues, grievances, attendance, and conduct.
Ensure compliance with Thai Labor Law and company policies while driving engagement, retention, and culture-building initiatives.
Oversee the Safety/HSE team, promote a strong safety culture, and ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Monitor HSE KPIs, incidents, and corrective actions.
Oversee factory administration and general affairs, including transportation, uniforms, canteen, security, and welfare services.
Ensure service quality, cost control, and a positive work environment.
Manage the performance review cycle, including goal setting and evaluations, while identifying high-potential talent for succession planning.
Leverage HR data and KPIs to guide management decisions.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
Approximately 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including managerial responsibility, with a strong background in a manufacturing environment.
Background in food manufacturing, food processing, FMCG, or other regulated manufacturing sectors strongly preferred.
Proven experience leading factory-based HR operations, including payroll, training, employee relations, HSE, and General Affairs.
Solid practical knowledge of Thai Labor Law and employment regulations.
Experience within a multinational or international manufacturing organization is an advantage.
Proficient in both Thai and English.
