4+ Years of Experience as a Business Analyst or System Analyst on software development projects. Experience in general Insurance (Motor, Property, A&H) is a PLUS!!
9am-6pm Hybrid work (3 days on-site in office at Ploenchit)

Soilfish is a Bangkok-based software house delivering development and support services to leading insurers. We are looking for a BA/SA to join our onsite team on the core general insurance platform of a multinational insurance company. You will be the bridge between the client’s business users, their IT organization, and our development squad — owning requirements from clarification through UAT sign-off.
 
 Responsibilities:

• Gather and clarify requirements from Product Owners and business users across general insurance product lines (motor — registration, renewal, claims; property — e.g., flood insurance; e-Policy; accident & health).

• Create user stories and manage the product backlog in JIRA, driving stories through Product Owner approval.

• Translate requirements into functional specifications, API specifications (request/response field mapping), and data mapping documents; review and interpret API specs from neighboring vendor teams.

• Design screen flows and collaborate on UI/UX using Figma; maintain specification trackers in Google Sheets/Confluence.

• Lead requirement grooming and sprint ceremonies with the development team; manage scope and priorities in JIRA.

• Query the Oracle database (SQL) to investigate data and shape requirements; perform data analytics and present findings/reports to stakeholders.

• Troubleshoot hands-on: call and verify APIs with Postman, read application logs, and work comfortably with JSON payloads.

• Work closely with QA team to plan and coordinate SIT/UAT. Review test scenarios and scope to ensure all business requirements are satisfied with best user journey and comply with compliance and policy.

• Coordinate across multiple vendor teams (API, frontend, QA) and the core insurance system team — acting as the bridge that knows which module, database, and contact owns each integration point.

• Communicate in English in meetings and documentation — several internal team members are non-Thai (e.g., Malaysian and German colleagues).

• Support production rollout planning, cutover checklists, and post-deployment verification.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Business, or a related field.

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or System Analyst on software development projects.

• Experience in the insurance domain — general insurance (motor, property, A&H) strongly preferred; banking/financial services acceptable.

• Technically inclined BA profile: comfortable with databases, APIs/JSON, and application logs — not documentation-only.

• Proven experience writing API specifications for REST services, including field-level request/response mapping.

• Experience running UAT with business users: scenario design, walkthrough facilitation, and defect management.

• Working SQL skills for data investigation (required); experience testing APIs with Postman and reading application logs.

• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments with JIRA.

• Good command of English — you will present to and be interviewed by Director-level client stakeholders.

• Excellent facilitation and documentation skills; able to run meetings with clear agendas and outcomes.

• Strong analytical thinking, service-minded, and comfortable working across business and technical teams.

• Able to complete the client’s onboarding process, including mandatory compliance training; hybrid work with onsite days in central Bangkok.
