Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for tenders and project execution.

  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost projections.

  • Evaluate subcontractor quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend award.

  • Assist in tender preparation, cost proposals, and contract negotiations.

  • Monitor and control project costs, prepare cost reports and forecasts.

  • Prepare and review progress payment applications and certify subcontractor payment claims.

  • Manage contract administration including variations, claims, and change orders.

  • Support project team in procurement of materials and subcontractors.

  • Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and verify quantities on-site.

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams regarding contractual and commercial issues.

  • Prepare final account and close-out documentation upon project completion.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a QS Engineer in construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract management.

  • Familiar with local and international standards of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC).

  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software (such as CostX, Candy, or similar).

  • Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Good command of English (advantageous for international projects).
