QS & Estimate Engineer (Civil)
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQ (Bill of Quantities) for tenders and project execution.
Analyze drawings, specifications, and project documents to prepare accurate cost projections.
Evaluate subcontractor quotations, prepare comparison sheets, and recommend award.
Assist in tender preparation, cost proposals, and contract negotiations.
Monitor and control project costs, prepare cost reports and forecasts.
Prepare and review progress payment applications and certify subcontractor payment claims.
Manage contract administration including variations, claims, and change orders.
Support project team in procurement of materials and subcontractors.
Conduct site visits to monitor work progress and verify quantities on-site.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project teams regarding contractual and commercial issues.
Prepare final account and close-out documentation upon project completion.
✅ Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a QS Engineer in construction projects.
Strong knowledge of cost estimation, BOQ preparation, and contract management.
Familiar with local and international standards of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC).
Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and cost estimation software (such as CostX, Candy, or similar).
Good communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good command of English (advantageous for international projects).
