Trade Marketing Manager (Category Planning Manager)

  • 10 years experience in FMCG
  • Experience in both MT & TT channels
  • Able to use market & retailer data analysis tools


     To lead & be accountable for the overall category commercial plan for the Business units and working by customers & retail environment.

Some of the key accountabilities for this role will include (but are not limited to)

Owns process, governance & communication for the category commercial plan & results

  • Deliver innovation to market on time in full
  • Deliver category big bet activity plan
  • Drive targets for distribution & visibility via perfect store
  • Adjust plans as needed to hit overall objectives

The category promotional strategy across channels and customers

  • Review customer & channel plan performance & profitability
  • Manage to trade spend budgets, promotion plans & improve customer profitability
  • Deliver customer & channel ROI

The category forecast & performance across channels (RE’s) and customers

  • Define the annual bottom - up customer / channel plan to meet the BU AC targets & IBP forecast
  • Customer / channel reviews: Monitor KPIs to ensure Health & Performance
  • Sales & marketing planning briefings & business reviews

Do you have what it takes?

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in FMCG
  • Fluent in Microsoft Excel & Power point
  • Experience in both MT & TT channels
  • Be able to use market data analysis tools, such as AC Neilson
  • Be able to use retailer analysis tools, such as Dunhamby, C Smart, etc.
  • High analysis skills with ability to link market data to retailer data
  • Basic Finance for non-finance understanding
  • Understanding of Promotional ROIs
