Senior Operation Manager

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to direct and manage all plant operations with overall responsibilities for plant management, all manufacturing operations, capital equipment and facilities planning, workforce development, supply chain, and operations strategy deployment.

Reporting to CEO, the Operations Manager is responsible for two production facilities (based in Pathumthani) with a combined workforce of 200 persons.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe working environment and to achieve overall business objectives including: quality, delivery, productivity, and lean directives, as set forth by the business.
• Fostering a positive employee relations environment through building a culture where employees are motivated and actively engaged in driving continuous improvement in the business.
• Championing lean manufacturing initiatives in a manner that will support continued cost reductions, waste reductions, process automation, quality improvements, and on-time delivery.
• Providing leadership and setting clarity of direction to the Operations organization. Developing and executing the Operations’ strategic plans. Assigning responsibilities for tasks and results; setting clear goals and objectives. Monitoring and measuring performance to plan.
• Establishing performance metrics, standards, and measurements for direct reports and the operation as a whole. Regularly monitoring their performance through timely performance reviews to create/enhance operational efficiencies and improve performance and productivity.
• Working proactively with and effectively engaging functional counterparts to ensure overall organizational success.
• Ensuring that products are delivered on-time to customers and that products meet all customer expectations regarding quality and performance.
• Directly and indirectly working with customer to understand requirements and expectations.
• Acting as a coach, mentor, and role model for his or her direct reports, as well as the Company’s ethics and values; maintaining the highest corporate governance principles.
• Planning and executing expansion of facilities to meet future manufacturing requirements.
• Collaboratively working with the leadership team to establish a future state road map that will be used for capital, labor, and facility requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Thai national
• BA/BS in Engineering, or Production and Operations Management.       MBA preferred.
• >7 years in manufacturing operations management.
• Background from automotive Injection Molding, Stamping is highly desirable
• Good knowledge of “Toyota Way” principles (TPS, Lean principles, 7 + 1 Waste, PDCA, etc.) plus minimum 3 years’ experience with lean training & implementing
• Proven leader with ability to motivate teams and drive accountability
• Initiative, planning, and follow-up plus ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
