Primary Function:

The Safety Officer plays a key role in investigating accidents and advising preventive measures. Studies imminent threats within the work facility. Conducts activities that promote safety behavior and awareness. Conducts safety inspections, makes incident records, and reports the supervisor. Understands important regulations and is familiar with revisions, trends, and updates concerning best practices in safety.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that company personnel observe and follow established safety guidelines.
• Attends regular department meetings to remain in line with comprehensive safety practices of the company.
• Ensure the company follow or comply with safety laws.
• Assists in the organization of awareness campaigns regarding safety, such as workshops for occupational safety, fire safety, etc.
• Assists in the conduct of fire and emergency drills.
• Assists in the provide the safety training for subcontractors who participate with Ingredion (Thailand) Company Limited.
• Evaluates hazardous conditions, risk assessment and recommends personal protective equipment.
• Prepares various safety report as Thai regulation including charts and graphs to determine trends and needs.
• Assists in improving of contractor management process.
• Gather, analyze and provide relevant safety data to fasten plant safety improvement.
• Coordinates and supports other departments as requested.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
• More than 3 years of supervisory experience in safety management with manufacturing industry.
• Good for both of written and spoken English.
• Good communication skill.
• Problem solving and decision making is an advantage.
