The Company:
The client is a well-known aqua feed manufacturer based in Asia. A company of 3,500 employees with the offices and operations throughout China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Thailand
and Vietnam. The company is a pioneer and technological leader in an array of innovative and differentiated functional feed products, focusing on preventing and combating diseases as well as increasing yields. The company also provides a full range of services
and technical support to aquafarmers throughout Asia, including pond maintenance, water treatment, as well as soil and disease examination.
The purpose of the position:
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance & Management
- Provide leadership to the company to build a systematic quality management capability and reputation. Work with corporate HSEQ director, GM and functional peers to drive changes
and ensure progress towards this goal
- Lead to build QA organization & capabilities in country
- Execute and match corporate QA policies, standards, procedures in all plants in Thailand
- Lead to establish robust Quality Management systems and procedures. Drive effective implementations to ensure feed safety and product quality
- Establish an effective quality control (QC) system & organization to ensure no detects be received from suppliers. No defects be produced in manufacturers and no defects be released
to customers
- Build and maintain a reliable and consistent QC lab test ability across all plants
- Ensure that all products used in the plant be checked for compatibility with all applicable feed regulatory requirements
- Drive investigations on all customer complaints and ensure appropriate follow-through
- Lead supplier management with a full management system including supplier selections, qualifications, assessment and audits. Ensure full compliance of raw materials suppliers, such
as fishmeal traceability and required certifications
Product Regulatory Management
- Collaborate with formulation to ensure all product specifications and documents are accurate and completed
- Collaborate with international associations and local authorities to ensure products be properly registered and correctly labelled in a compliance manner
- Establish necessary organization and capability to manage product regulatory affairs in Thailand
- Leads regular audits on product registrations and permits as per regulations. Ensure compliance in Thailand.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor degree or above in engineering and/or quality engineering, Food Science, Bio-technology, Chemistry, Microbiology
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience as senior QA manager in industries with productions in Aquaculture, Animal Nutrition, Agriculture, Chemical, Food processing, Pharmaceutical,
etc.
- Hands-on experience in QA, QC and people & organization development
- Strong communication and people management skills in working environment with diversified cultures
- Working experience in matrix organization
- Good command in written and spoken English
