Purpose of the job:

Responsible for setting-up and maintaining an APAC PSRA organization according to continuous changing regulations and legislations and carrying the responsibility for the legal and commercial compliance regarding Health, Safety and Environment for the products produced and sold or otherwise brought to the market by TANATEX

Main responsibilities:

 - Compliance with national and international legislation and commercial regulations and requirements.

Take care that all by TANATEX produced and sold products are in compliance with national and international legislation and regulations for the use commercially and technically advised.

• Implementation of new and changes in legislation and regulations
• Prepare, accompany and following up inspections as well inspections from local authorities. The relevant Law & Regulations are: legislations like REACH, Biocide directive, Chemical weapon treaty etc., other relevant legislation.
• Check importability of new developments to countries within APAC.

 Take care Product Data Management :

• Hazardous materials classification
• SDS for finished goods.

 Take care that our certifications, registrations and declarations comply with customer requirements.

• Give support to the commercial departments by creating and maintaining commercial certifications, registrations and declarations to comply with customer specific requirements, e.g. (commercial) Environmental, Health and Safety standards for products, GOTS, Cradle to Cradle (C2C), Bluesign. Other relevant regulations and requirements

 - Applied knowledge and expertise

 Applying specific knowledge and expertise of regulatory, chemical and technical nature to organize and improve aspects in relation with safety, health and environment for the products produced and sold by TANATEX :

• Determination of classification and labelling of the products, including transport classification
• Creating and maintaining of Material Safety Data Sheets
• Registrations under REACH-like legislations / Biocide directive / National inventories/Poison centre /etc.
• Preparing export licenses (Chemical weapon treaty/ etc.) and custom codes to ensure compliance in export

• Registration of products under “commercial” environmental labels (GOTS, BlueSign, etc.)
• Preparation of customer statements and declarations regarding the Health, Environment & Safety properties of TANATEX products.

 - Advise & support

Gives asked and unsolicited advise on current and relevant QHES topics of regulatory-, technical, chemical and organisational nature regarding the products produced and sold by TANATEX, so that responsible problem owners are supported in their problem solving, and the results of the entire organization are positively influenced.

• Provide asked and unsolicited advice
• Provide chemical, technical and regulatory advise to the Assistant Product Safety & Regulations
• Written advises on specific subjects
• Influence in meetings, presentations and workshops

Job qualifications :

• Bachelor Degree or higher, major in Occupational Health Safety and Environmental, Chemical Science or other related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar function and international environment
• Education in the preparation of SDS, hazardous and transport labelling
• Hands-on mentality
• Independent
• Excellent command in English
• Able to work in Rayong
