Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.

Physical Work Environment

• Must be capable of working in a clean and dry room (less than 0.5% RH).

• Some global travel to equipment suppliers may be required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of two years of process engineering experience with a focus on powder and liquid based mixing process.

• Solid understanding and demonstration of process development and troubleshooting skills through prior work experience.

• This role requires very good hands-on skills and mechanical aptitude for plumbing systems for powders, liquids and vacuum.

• Strong motivation and communication skills to be a passionate leader for developing and improving this key process engineering area.

• Must work well within a team environment and be open and positive with discussing challenges and opportunities for improvements.

• Must thrive in a fast-paced work environment with flexibility to ensure process support as needed.

Desired Skills and Experience

• Experience with high viscosity slurry mix processing.

• Experience with powder characterization tools for moisture and particle analysis.

• Experience with rheology tools and characterization of slurries.

• Knowledge of lithium ion battery fundamentals and needs.

• Experience with transitioning a process from lab to low volume production scale.

• Demonstrated materials and process development and characterization experience.

• Six Sigma training and understanding of methodologies.
