JOB SUMMARY
Perform a wide variety of tasks to ensure optimal and safe operation of equipment that produces and distributes electrical power. Operate control systems, monitor gauges and meters, perform routine checks, maintain equipment and start or stop operations when necessary.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Control a variety of power-generation equipment and machinery during normal operation, scheduled maintenance and emergency repair procedures
• Monitor meters, gauges and control boards to verify operational parameters
• Oversee machinery indicators to determine existence of malfunctions or suboptimal performance, and initiate appropriate repair procedures
• Start and stop turbines and other power-generation equipment as necessary to maintain safe operation, allow for repair work and meet changing supply and demand variables
• Provide operation records into manual logs and computer databases
• Maintain safe working conditions; identify, correct and report unsafe work areas
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Perform Preventive and corrective maintenance routine work.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related fields
• 1 year of working experience in plant operation (direct experience in power plant is advantage) or new graduate with solid knowledge and skills in power plant operations or power generator equipment / control system
• Knowledge of electrical engineering
• Knowledge of power plant operations and maintenance
• Knowledge of equipment related to power generating
