The role

An opportunity is now available for a Payroll Coordinator in Bangkok, Thailand.  This is a contract for service arrangement and the contractor will be involved in payroll activities for two entities in Thailand. The contractor will only need to be present in the office on certain days in the month.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Manager, HR & Admin, the main duties of this contractor will include but not limited to:

• Verify claims against receipts and check that they are within budget
• Fill and upload monthly flexi form onto payroll portal
• Check calculations done by payroll vendor
• Pass journal entries prepared by payroll vendor to accounts
• Support provident fund, tax and social security reporting and payment
• Print payroll documents for signatures
• Review yearly tax reports

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of payroll experience
• Familiar with statutory payroll regulations
• Proficient in English
• Detail-oriented

Notes

• This will be an independent contractor arrangement, not an employer-employee arrangement. Every month, the Payroll Coordinator contractor will issue an invoice to the company for payment. 
• The Payroll Coordinator contractor is allowed to pursue other work opportunities as he/she is not an employee of the company.
• The Payroll Coordinator contractor only needs to come in about 4 - 5 days per month to support payroll. Once the required work is done for the day, he/she can leave and does not have to stay the whole day. 
• Whilst the company foresees this to be a long-term arrangement, the agreement will be on an annual basis, subject to extension
