Job Purpose
- Supervises daily Food and Beverage (F&B) shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards, and procedures. Manages day-to-day operations verifying that the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers on a daily basis. Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed. Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
Job Description:
Project Management
- Oversee all management of projects from proposal acceptance through to installation
- Ensure that all projects are undertaken within budget and on time. Costs reports are maintained
- Maintain production within specific guidelines for production efficiency, profitability, product re-work and waste amounts
- Meet weekly with the Team to discuss progress on all current projects
- Coordinate additional meetings as required with key staff to move projects forward
- Coordinate with Administration to produce necessary project reporting, review appropriate invoices and general project financial management
- Ensure that completed projects meet the specification and predetermined internal quality standards
- Provide feedback to the team on project successes including a formal write up of the project once completed
Operational Scheduling
- Supervises daily F&B shift operation and monitors compliance with all F&B policies, standards and procedures.
- Supervises staffing levels to verify that guest service, operational needs, and financial objective are met.
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to verify understanding.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
- Verifies that all team members understand the brand specific philosophy.
- Maintains the operating budget, and verifies that standards and legal obligations are followed.
- Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees.
- Creates and nurtures a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork and passion for providing service.
Strategic Planning
- Progress a measured and planned improvement of operational systems, processes and development of policies in support of Wine Connection’s vision
- Contribute to short and long term organizational planning and strategy
- Provide habitual review of internal procedures to maintain integrity and relevance of systems in place
- Contribute to Wine Connection future planning and projects with an emphasis on growth and creativity
Administrative
- Assist with HR policy and procedure creation, implementation and review in conjunction with Administration
- Interview job candidates, provide recommendations for hiring, terminations, advancement, probation or any other status change of associate within the department
- Assist with Training creation and implementation
- Adhere to and be familiar with all Health and Safety requirements
- Work with other Wine Connection senior staff on issues of Risk Management
Key Requirements:
Skills Experience Qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experiences in Food and Beverage service industry
- Preferably obtained work experiences from International F&B business or Restaurant
- Resourceful and independent with high level of initiative is compulsory
- Preferable fluent in reading, writing and speaking English
