Job Descriptions:

The Legal Counsel for South East Asia, Pakistan & Japan sub-region (which includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Christmas Island, East Timor, Fiji, French Polynesia, Guam, Indonesia, Japan, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua Nuova Guinea, New Caledonia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, Vanuatu, Vietnam, etc., hereinafter collectively “SEA” or “Countries”) will be responsible to:

• proactively support the Head of Legal SEA P&J in handling all legal affairs, corporate governance and compliance related matters in the Countries, following relevant instructions;
• provide legal advice in the day-to-day activities of the SEA teams responsible for the business (relevant to the products of all Brands: New Holland Agricultural, Case IH, Case Construction & New Holland Construction, IVECO, ASTRA, Magirus, FPT Industrial) of the CNH Industrial Group (the “CNH Industrial Group” being CNH Industrial N.V. and the companies directly or indirectly participated by CNH Industrial N.V., refer to http://www.cnhindustrial.com) in the Countries, supporting all functions of the business (such as commercial, purchasing, parts & service, network development, finance, accounting, HR, logistics, manufacturing, etc.);
• draft and negotiate (with both the internal clients/colleagues and third parties) legal documents in English language and in Thai language such as letters, agreements, meeting minutes, etc. as better described here below, with a very practical approach and critical review;
• coordinate with the other members of the legal team in Asia-Pacific region (hereinafter “APAC”) in providing legal support to the day-to-day operations of the CNH Industrial Group in the Countries;
• provide legal support with respect to business development initiatives in the Countries;
• actively participate as a member of the APAC legal team and of the global CNH Industrial Group Legal Department;
• support the Head of Legal SEA P&J in handling cross border transactions involving SEA and other countries of APAC;
• support, and coordinate with, the APAC Legal Counsel Financial Services in handling financial services transactions in the Countries;
• support, and coordinate with, the APAC Legal Counsel & Global Compliance and Ethics in handling compliance matters in the Countries.

 Qualifications:

• Fluent in written and spoken English and Thai. Familiarity/fluency in other languages, particularly Korean, will be a plus.
• Excellent academic credentials, including a Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school (or equivalent academic achievement); admitted to Thai Bar will be a plus.
• At least five years (as a minimum) of previous legal experience, with experience in several of the above described substantive areas of law.
• Previous experience in a law firm and/or in the legal team of a multinational group is a must.
• Previous experience with multi-country/cross-jurisdictional operations and transactions is a material plus.
• Excellent written and oral communication and inter-personal skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines, understanding business priorities and needs.
• Hands-on and cross-functional working aptitude. Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
• Strong business acumen and capability of teaming up and interacting with the relevant departments within the CNH Industrial Group.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are critical.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Well organized and able to manage several projects simultaneously and under pressure.
• Ability to travel as needed.
