Innovation Brand Manager

 In a nutshell – the role and the products

Driving the innovation portfolio, you will be responsible for launching, nurturing and growing the exciting new products that we launch to market. Our Gin portfolio - Gordon’s and Tanqueray, the biggest gains in the world - will be some of the key brands that you will manage in an exciting category with fast growth. You will be responsible for building the launch-to-market plans of new product opportunities, from strategic thinking to executing the plan as well as responsible for driving the performance of existing NPDs.

What you will be accountable for:

Lead and drive the latest in DMHT’s exciting innovation agenda in order to grow the business as well as sustain the current innovations

New product to market:

  • Build strategy and execution plan for new innovations to Thailand aiming to disrupt the spirits category and recruit consumers to DMHT
  • Deliver innovations through the DMHT innovation process on time and within budget inspiring and leading cross functional team
  • Build belief within leadership team and across the business that we have the best plans to deliver exceptional growth
  • Execute the strategy, be restless about brilliant execution and measure / evaluate / track in order to optimise programme
  • Lead and drive CP&A and Sales functions to focus on innovations and deliver performance goals that have been set
  • Hunt for deep insights about the products in consumer, customer, motivations, behaviour and occasions, that can help unlock further growth for the brands
  • Lead performance discussions and analysis of the brand, ensuring we are delivering to the performance goals set out as well as delivering a profitable P&L that delivers sustainable growth

 Existing innovations 

  • Lead and drive implementation of through-the-line brand growth drivers that will help unlock growth for the Gin category (Gordon’s Pink and Tanqueray) 

o   Lead execution of existing strategy and challenge and mould new strategy for next fiscal year incl thinking and development of assets 

o   Hold the brand positioning of these products and ensure that everything that is implemented fits with the brand values 

o   Work closely with trade marketing team to implement growth drivers, track our execution standards, analyse and optimize

 o   Develop commercial growth drivers to stimulate purchase in trade to accompany consumer programmes

  •  Lead the performance culture cross function for the brand

 o   Gather consumer insights about Gins and apply to existing or new growth drivers to unlock performance

 o   Track weekly performance of the brand with support from analysis team and mining data to unlock learnings

Overall

  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to unlock brand performance of all our innovations

 o   Work closely with Sales, Trade marketing, Supply and Decision Support and influencing them with the brand strategy

 o   Present regularly to senior leadership team to drive momentum behind brand

 o   Lead group of multi-function creative agencies to deliver world class creative as well as creative execution

 o   Work with APAC innovation team and Global Brand Team to deliver next gen growth drivers for future implementation 

  • Lead brand planning that is aligned to overall company objective and growth

 o   Work with local planner to mining data to get to the real brand issues  

 o   Use learning to set amended/new strategy with exciting new growth drivers

  •  Partner with Innovation and local market’s planner to identify key consumers issues and insights. Optimize common growth drivers with local adaptation of concepts with business needs.

Work with supply partners to ensure effective value chain and margins to play in mainstream segment.

What you need to bring to this role: 

  • Passion for celebration
  • Drive and ambition
  • A strong marketer who has a track record of building brands through strong local insights of consumers & shoppers
  • 7+ years of experience in Brand Management, Insights Function, Brand Consultancy, research firm or similar.  Graduate/MBA preferred.
  • Beverage alcohol experience not required but preferred experience with blue chip / FMCG / lifestyle brands
  • Has local Thailand marketing experience
  • Demonstrates the ability to build belief and influence within the organization behind breakthrough projects
  • Demonstrates confidence and resilience to bring organisation along on journey
  • Curiosity and flair for finding penetrating insights
