Head of Telesales (Motor Insurance Products)

Subordinates: 7 people (direct report), 100 people (indirect report)

Report to: COO (expat) 

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure the telesales team performance vs. targets is achieved.
  • Motivate the team to ensure quality, company values, and behavior to assure smooth and effective work progress.
  • Ensure teams are motivated, engaged, empowered, and are highly motivated to achieve our ambitious monthly targets.
  • Manage telesales supervisor, business analysts, trainer and coordinate with technology and media team.
  • Control the continuous improvement process regarding workflow efficiency and collaboration.
  • Review and improve processes, telesales operation, technology, and people as required.
  • Understand consumers to ensure that our motor insurance products meet the needs.
  • Direct campaigns with the marketing team to reduce customer acquisition costs.
  • Perform ad-hoc analysis, drill down on certain business challenges. Select the best products from the insurance partners to offer to the consumers.
  • Build a culture that includes performance reviews, coaching, counseling, and disciplining.       
  • Prepare call center performance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
  • Understand contact center metrics, re-define the process with new technology to optimize.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Communication studies, Marketing or an equal academic with good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.0).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in managing call-center.
  • Background in insurance or banking industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and sales skills.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and service-oriented mind.
  • Extroverted personality and ability to work within a fast-paced organization.
  • Excellent listening skills, critical-thinker with attention to detail.
  • Entrepreneurial, and hands-on attitude.
  • Fluent in English both written and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer service software.
  • Must be an assertive team player with high energy to work in a fast-paced environment.
