Description

• Responsible for defining the strategy, approach, and execution in development projects.

• Take the lead in directing the QA leadership team.

• Provide leadership and technical expertise with Automation Testing and Quality Assurance.

• Full ownership for project test automation, mentor and provide leadership to the QA automation developers and managers.

• Take part in interviews, on-boarding, training, and performance evaluation of all QA leads.

• Offer technical leadership and expertise in Quality Assurance and Testing.

• Ensure that the development team sticks to the principles, guidelines, and best practices of the strategy defined.

• Mainly focus on continuous QA improvements including usage of proper testing tools, test techniques, automation testing.

• Build and maintain quality standards as well as implementing technical and testing standards.

• Monitor all QA activities - test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis, identifying areas of improvement as well as implement steps required to improve the processes.

• Present project testing metrics and activities to key stakeholders.

• Ensure proper usage of available tools which includes testing tools for functional, performance, automation, etc.

• Manage training and continuous learning of QA team members by utilizing short courses, conferences, meetups, etc.

• Develop QA strategy, methodology, discipline, and framework. Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing and agile testing.

• Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.

• Continuously work with team leads and other cross-functional teams to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed quality goals.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar field.

• 10 + years of software development or QA experience and 6+ years working with Automated testing tools.

• QA Management experience across multiple projects, both offshore and in-house.

• Experience in leading the implementation and shaping the company's QA processes and strategies.

• Strong functional and non-functional technical skills, manual and automation testing, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.

• Strong communication skills with all stakeholders to ensure QA vision is clear and implemented accordingly.

• Excellent knowledge in Risk Management, Risk Identification and Risked Based Testing.

• Experienced in managing testing departments or functions, as well as large and complex activities and processes.

• Ability to work under pressure.

• Skilled in motivating teams, recognizing good talents and able to bring out the best of each individual.

• Strong influencing and negotiation skills to get management approvals on new ideas and concepts.

• Able to communicate with all levels of management within the organization.

• Ability to build, implement and direct QA principles and maintain quality of delivery.

• Previous experience in a start-up environment, or a co-founder of a technology company would be beneficial.

• Experience in the E-commerce industry or platform businesses will be a plus.
