E-Commerce & Retail Channel Sales, Regional Senior Manager

This is a new regional role with high visibility.  The person will report to the Regional President for ASEAN, India, S. Korea and Taiwan.  The position can be based in Thailand.   This position will oversee and drive the regional retail channel sales.  The role requires regular interface with Country Heads, functional counter parts based across the region’s subsidiaries and Germany.   In addition, the person will lead the region in the development and implementation of digital marketing strategies/programs to enhance KARCHER branding and customer experience for increase sales and online traffic.  The person is required to be flexible by having the ability to adapt himself/herself from developing concept, to analysing data and to being hands-on to achieve results.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the growth and achievement of the overall Retail              business annual sales targets, including all offline sales channels   (Home Improvement, Food, Electronic, Specialty) as well as online     sales channels (non-store channel, and webshop) in the region
  • Act as the solution leader for Retail product management matters            (pricing, new product forecasts, range planning, country versions,        special promotional bundlings, product and quality issues etc), and be   the interface between the product development departments and the          region
  • Conduct regional market analysis (market trends, competitor’s   activities, pricing trend, etc) and communicate trend reporting to                region markets. 
  • Determine, coordinate, and support Retail product launches in the           region.
  • Meets regional retail sales financial objectives by supporting the               forecasting requirements and annual budget; analysing variances and            initiating corrective actions.
  • Supporting the tracking & analysing of promoter efficiency /        productivity in all markets in the region.
  • Build eCommerce business and digital marketing strategy at regional level in cohesion with the overall corporate strategy and brand vision and lead in the rollout of eCommerce business across the region’s subsidaries.
  • Support and guide markets through regional plate form and partnership development (e.g., Amazon, Lazada, etc) to grow digital revenue.
  • Develop/implement eCommerce customer journey experience initiatives and programs.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 – 8 years work experience in managing regional retail sales with strong knowledge in e-Commerce and strong learning agility.
  • Three to four years  of eCommerce management function experience at regional level.
  • Bachelor Degree in Retail Management, e-Commerce and/or Marketing.
  • Deep understanding of Asian eCommerce with demonstrated successful eCommerce business results.
  • Experienced with product and pricing strategies in the retail channels and a successful track record of applying them in practice.
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently to achieve targets.
  • Data-driven mind-set with excellent communication/presentation skills and strong negotiation abilities.
  • Results-driven and customer-centric.
