Civil Engineer (onshore/offshore structural analyses & designs) EPC

Position: Civil Engineer (Engineering) 
Responsibilities:
• Executing the assigned activities in accordance with all technical, quality, contractual and execution aspects of the project as per the instructions of the Discipline Lead Engineer of the Project
• Keeping the Discipline Lead Engineer informed on the status of activities assigned
• Ensuring adequate flow of design information to the other members of the Design Team
• Submitting all the documents prepared to the Lead Engineer for review / approval
• Commenting Vendor documents as per Project requirements
• Keeping all the documents filed according to the filing procedure
• Choosing the best solution from technical / economical point of view
• Issue the quality forms according to QA systems of the project and company
• Implementing corrective actions according to the QA systems of the project and company
• Attend project, technical meetings with client, PMT and vendors as and when required.
• Ensuring that the Engineering Design Deliverables are delivered as scheduled and within the budget man-hours

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Master degree in Structural / Structural Offshore Engineering is preferred. Engineering.
• Registered as a Civil Professional Engineer(PE) under Engineering Institution of Thailand with Associate Engineer License. Professional Engineer License is preferred.
• Computer literacy of structural analysis software such as SACS, STAAD Pro, UFSOS, GRL WEAP ETABS & SAP 2000. Able to perform finite element analysis with ANSYS would be an advantage.
• Proficient with preparing template and calculation sheet by using MATHCAD or Excel.
• Knowledge of Excel VB would be considered an advantage.
• Familiar with related international design codes, standards & recommended practices such as API, AISC, DNV, ISO, BS, ASTM and other international codes/guidelines including latest Thailand Building Control Act.
• Strong technical knowledge in offshore/onshore structural analysis & design for both reinforcement concrete & steel structures with resolution of technical issues.
• Good communication skill & interpersonal skills to interface with multiple engineering disciplines.
• Ability to perform multi-tasking as assigned by Lead / senior engineer.

• Minimum 3-5 years experience in both onshore/offshore structural analyses & designs within the Oil and Gas industry, Engineering company, EPCI contractor.
• Experience in designs & analyses for jacket and topside on the Per-service analyses(e.g. load out/skidding, transport, lift/launch, floatation & upending, on-bottom stability, pile derivability) & In-service analyses (e.g. In-place, fatigue, seismic, pushover, ship impact).
• Experience in both green and brown field works.
• Experience with structural 3D model review software e.g. Navisworks Freedom & TEKLA.
• Experience with offshore structural design codes & standards i.e. API, AISC, EUROCODE, ISO and DNVGL.
• On-shore design Experience in Concrete Foundation, Pavement, R.C. Building, Infrastructure & Anchor Bolts Design based on ACI318, AISC code & Thailand Building Control Act.
• Exposure to civil / onshore site construction related activities and cost / man-hour estimation will be an added advantage
• Analytical and problem solving skills and meticulous
• Good communication skills in English writing and speaking.
• Physical Ability of Good Health, Fit for work
• Good communication skills with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
