Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:

• Develop and implement Category Plan under responsibility that include : strategies & plan, consumer trends, price book, assortment, pricing, merchandising & plan-o-graming, promotions, sales and profit plan, trade agreement, execution strategies and logistics planning.
• Manage relationship with vendor and collaborate with other members in team.  

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to high company standards for safety environmental awareness and business ethics.
• Determine respective category: product mix, pricing, merchandising, and promotional strategies.
  Analyze consumer, industry, and category performance to develop category strategies and tactics.
• Develop category goals & strategies & tactics, monitor category performance, and take corrective action as required.
• Ensure revenue and profit are achieved
• Cultivate resources both internally and externally to leverage expertise on assigned category
• Collaborate with other buyer/GCM to insure strategies are aligned.
• Work with suppliers to develop and enhance promotions within our stores.
• Negotiate and establish contracts / supply agreements with vendors.
• Review and provide builds on POG.
• Review assortment, category performance, pricing, and promotion effectiveness
• Ensure all OI are invoiced
• Provide feedback to designers and other marketing personnel on all programs to improve our market position.
• Be professional as company representative

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor’s degree, an MBA is an advantage
• Merchandising knowledge and retail experience are an asset
