Position Purpose Statement
This position is accountable for effectively managing the transformation of business development plans into production reality utilizing the technology and technical innovations available for the facility.
This position will be the interface between the cross functional and all stakeholders in all matters pertaining to new product development and commercialization, productivity opportunities, product/process/packaging improvements and specification changes, technology transfer and application and promotional packages.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES  :
Business Development/ Change Management
  • Lead (for plant side) to implement the assigned business development projects from conceptualization to implementation by taking direction from Category and ISC team
  • Primary interface and manage the communication and information from stakeholders (RD&Q, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, Logistics , Legal, Customer, Quality and supplier) for all development programs targeting process equipment, new products, recipes, technologies and packaging
  • Implement the change management system and monitors the effective of change management process for new and modified process, products and packaging for KK plant.
  • Lead in overall process for plant trial and commissioning activities. This includes coordination with quality on testing requirement, R&D for design of experiments, plant logistics for material availability and scheduling, manufacturing for trial support, and finance for proper cost management and charging
Process/Systems Simplification
  • Identifies opportunities and collaborate with Plant functions to simplify products, processes and systems across the plant in areas such as optimal run lengths, optimal sequencing of SKU’s, SKU simplification and delivering de-complexity.
  • Identified and initiative for harmonization process of manufacturing process and de-complexity of products portfolio (simplification).
Strategic Planning
  • Designs and updates the Khon Kaen Plant Menu Card / Portfolio for promoting products and processes throughout worldwide business units.
  • Take lead on the process feasibility for NPD introducing to KK prior PDR launch
Growth and Quality
  • Identify quality issues resulting from change, formulation, packaging, and process and collaborate with cross functional team to recommend the plan of action.
  • Align specifications of Raw Material and Packaging Material and Process from change initiatives with manufacturing capability and R&D requirements and resolve issues relating to non-conformance for NPD
  • Work with the Supply Chain group to improve processes in and between operations partners (co-manufacturers, vendors, regulatory agencies, etc.)
Safety, Security and Environment
  • Comply with pro-active safety and environmental management guidelines in product, process change initiatives.
  • Identify potential issues on security of products, people assets and proprietary property
People/ Communication
  • Lead and effective implement the training and communication program for plant personnel on new products and processes by implementing proper communication/ training protocol and procedures and process surveillance programs.
Growth and Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with Category and cross functional team in the development and implementation of additional volumes from new products that will drive growth for Khon Kaen Plant.
  • Review and recommend changes to existing formulation specifications and processes in order to design quality in and drive cost out though a process of Supply Chain and Operations simplification.
  • Lead in the Trail and Commissioning for productivity savings projects of NPD, RM and PM implementation in KK plant.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required
(a) Education, qualifications and training
  • Broad understanding of interactions in the powdered beverages and powder mixing categories.
  • Fundamental know how and experience in food processes and products.
  • Tertiary diploma in an engineering or technical field.
  • Developed knowledge of Mondelez Systems across other divisions.
  • Process knowledge is desirable in the areas of supply chain management, order cycle management and fulfillment, customer service centers, inventory management or other operational and financial process.
  • Team management training
(b) Experience and skills required
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in the manufacturing industry and two (2) years experience in Food and/or related Manufacturing set-up.
  • At least two (2) years exposure in process commercialisation or involvement in production processes.
  • Skills in leading, motivating and coordinating technical staff/committees.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and introduce change.
  • High functional leadership competence.
  • Co-operation and communication skills to manage cross-functional interfaces.
  • Excellent analytical and conceptual skills.
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
  • Idea leadership.
  • Must be self-motivated, have high energy and enthusiasm.
  • Experience using Statistical Process Control and other statistical process analysis tools
(c) Specialised knowledge or skills required
  • Graduate of Engineering or Food Technology course, with license preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, SSE principles.
  • MS Office literate.
  • People/team development.
  • Cross-functional Inter-action.
  • Very good oral and written business communication skills.
  • Experience in getting things done
Other relevant information
  • Able to work in flexible work environment – shifting and weekend work maybe required.
  • Willing to be assigned in other locations on a project basis.
