Business Controller, Asia Pacific (Capital Business Reporting)

Valmet's Asia Pacific Area organization is looking for Business Controller to reinforce our Asia Pacific Finance team. If you want to be part of building our winning team in Asia Pacific and you are willing to accept new challenges, you may be the person we are looking for.

As Business Controller, you will provide timely, accurate and relevant analysis of financial information. You will be part of Asia Pacific Finance team and will report to Business Controller, Asia Pacific. Location can be any Valmet main offices in Asia Pacific e.g. Australia, India, Indonesia, Japan, South Korea, or Thailand.

The main activities and responsibilities of this role include:

• Serve as financial advisor to the Business Lines, analyzing & articulating the key financial and operational drivers (both risks & opportunities) of Asia Pacific area and Specific Business Lines’ needs (P&E, PAP).
• Work on reconciliations and margin analysis
• Support Business Controller, Asia Pacific, in any given controlling task.
• Follow up on difference BL strategy development, financial and operational planning.
• Participates in strategy development as well as financial and operational planning.
• Monitor operational and financial results and indicators of BLs and Area.
• Ensure successful application of Valmet accounting guidelines and financial policies (IFRS).
• Support the development and maintenance of financial planning and forecasting tools for BL.
• Provide financial analysis to support investment decisions and/or other business decisions.
• Manage and understand different stakeholder relations.
• Monitor operational and financial results of projects in Asia Pacific area.
• Help ensuring timely and accurate reporting of Actual and Estimate reporting

Besides engaged, self-motivated active team player with "can do" attitude, the following requirements are preferred in this position:

• Qualifications in Business (Accounting) or Commerce with a strong costing background.
• Good change management skills.
• You can handle Microsoft Office tools and have advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• You need ability to work well under pressure to meet monthly deadlines and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You have many stakeholders both locally and globally, so you need to be an effective communicator.
• You can work in the country without requiring Work Permit.
