Job Description

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineer

  • Good working knowledge of English (read, write, speak with ease)
  • Minimum 8 years experienced in Maintenance functions from multi-national companies and more than 5 years in management level Strong background in Total Preventive Maintenance
  • Technical knowledge on Maintenance planning and automated work order system, Project Management, Electrical & Building codes, HVAC process, and facilities management
  • Proficient in MS Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Machine trouble shooting, machine breakdown root cause analysis, PLC, CNC machine
  • Knowledge & experience in Union 

Job description and responsibilities

  • Comply with laws, regulations and ISO requirements; manage the related audits or participate to them if appropriated
  • Revising procedures, reports etc. periodically to identify hidden risks or nonconformity issues
  • Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR departments to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations
  • Promote the recruitment of disabled people
  • Commit to plant safety policies and procedures
  • To maintain and enhance safety consciousness and awareness in the workplace by respecting EHS rules (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001)
  • Implement BBS, near miss and waste management programs in your department in line with Corporate requirements
  • Implement crisis management procedure when appropriated Assist in development and implement all company and HR policies
  • Recruit, conduct employee on boarding and help plan training & development in line with the updated job description; Assign Essilor U module when appropriate; coach and mentor new employee and key people
  • Promote Happy work place programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace
  • Define MBO and manage the team to achieve them; appraise direct reports during performances review periods and define the appropriate individual development plan (IDP)
  • Discuss employees’ career development paths with HR & plant managers and update the succession plan on yearly basis
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise the work of subordinates providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance
  • Recognize performances and give sanction when appropriate
  • Promote management principles and implement GYT tools
  • Validate working time organization of the team to reach business requirements at the right cost
  • Maintain high level of 5S
  • Maintain each staff certified when appropriate i.e. Safety, LOFT
  • Contribute actively to Co-development session
  • Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners, authorities and all internal and external Essilor departments
  • Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times
  • Promote Essilor corporate culture, Essilor values and Essilor principles
  • Make sure that on monthly basis all the MBO results, gap analysis and expectations are communicate to all levels of your organization

  • Report major non conformity,issue to top management Stay up to date with latest production management best practices and concepts

  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of your procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements

  • Participate actively to Essilor Mission activities i.e. eyes screening, CSR activities, water and energy savings
  • Encourage all the members of your team to be an excellent contributor
  • Forecast and manage monthly, quarterly and annual budget in line with top management instructions
  • Analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results at the end of each reporting period and propose correctives actions
  • Recommend cost-reducing solutions and participate to the CONQ reduction program
  • Contribute towards the achievement of company’s objectives

  • Plan, supervise, control and evaluate maintenance activities in production and facilities sections. Prepare yearly CAPEX in close coordination with superior and ensure target projects are implemented and achieved within budget.
  • Ensuring all building maintenance activities do not impact the environment and are in safety compliance
  • Optimize resource allocation for maintaining the factory and improve process uptime. Control inventory of spare parts, equipment and materials in coordination with Production and Purchasing Departments.
  • Develop automation technical skills for the maintenance team.
  • Manage & reduce maintenance cost
  • Oversea support services operation of the facilities within the factory premises (HVAC, building maintenance, etc.) and ensuring environment & safety compliance.
  • Manage Sodexo team & reduce cost.
  • Administer project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Prepare for reviews and quality assurance procedures. Minimize company exposure and risk on project.
  • Evaluate water and energy conservation programs and develop opportunities to achieve targets and enhance current policies
