 Your Work

 As a member of Ascend Commerce Technology team, you will be a key contributor as a Technical Operations Engineer responsible for efficient operation of platform infrastructure of Ascend Commerce with emphasis in security. The platform will enable building leading edge enterprise and consumer facing products servicing a variety of critically important use cases in B2B and B2C.  You will have the opportunity to work hand in hand in a truly cross functional matrix organization.

 Key Responsibilities 

• Provide security consultation in a project-based environment as well as assisting operational of IT Security components with functional security requirements.
• Analysis of technical requirements to design and deliver both Infrastructure and IT Security solutions and Assessment.      
• Conduct and perform advanced vulnerability and penetration testing/assessments that also require in-depth analysis of IT controls applied to network infrastructure, visualized servers, databases, web applications and interfaces and supporting software infrastructure (document management, reporting).
• Track and manage security risks including review plans and monitor progress or remedial actions.
• Provides technical guidance on all systems in place to all levels of Information Technology staff
• Maintain infrastructure, Application and security architecture documentation, guidelines and provide support to projects involving enterprise wide applications and supporting hardware.
• Develop security automation test in CI/CD pipeline with deployment automations such as Kubernetes based platform, both on premises and on a multi-cloud infrastructure 

 Your Experience and Qualification in: 

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, MIS, IT or related field with 4-5 year experiences in computer security area.
• Experience in E2E security design and implementation including network, data, platform and application
• Experience in facilitating information security risk assessments.
• Technical writing, documentation development, process mapping, and visual communication skills.
• Professional certificates related to work (e.g. OSCP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, Sec+ or similar general security certification) is desirable
• Solid understanding of cloud computing design and security principles in cloud environments like AWS, Google Cloud, Azure
• Clear understanding of Micro Service Architecture
• Experience in High Availability Services and Data
• Solid experience in platform automation/configuration management tools like OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Puppet
• Has knowledge in monitoring tools like Prometheus, Nagios, AppManager, DataDog
• Has knowledge in incident management systems like PagerDuty, OpsGenie
• Ability to take On Call Rotation

Communication

• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Collaborative design and peer-reviews are bread-and-butter of our engineering culture!
• Good command of English
