Purpose of the job
OPTIFLO System Engineer is a key role to the successful development of service solutions that create high customer value and satisfaction.
This role will act as a bridge between the users of the RCS Service offerings & products (external or internal customers) and the developers (including HW and SW Designers, Testers and Validators). The OPTIFLO System Engineer will have an interdisciplinary
expertise in railway engineering & Services.
Responsible for leading the development of the Use Case development and validation process, collecting and analysing data and set requirements for BT’s analytic products, working closely with product specialists, RAM and analytical experts.
The OPTIFLO System Engineer provides technical support to system & product development from conception through industrialisation to final release and, critically, directly to customer project integration.
This role also provides technical input, support and training for customer project teams implementation and integration of OPTIFLO products and systems.
Key responsibilities
1.Ensure the OPTIFLO product and service offerings meet the market requirements and the needs from Regions (functionality, performance, cost, availability, life cycle cost, and usability). Support the development and maintenance of the RCS Services solution
roadmap together with OPTIFLO team
Ensure that the RCS Service solutions are available for sale and delivery within agreed technical and commercial parameters 20 %
2.Develop use cases for all products and sub-systems connected to the diagnostic tools.
Manage - meetings with product owners, regional ITC personnel, requirements, and usage of DOORS for mapping use case to requirements on sub-systems.
3.Creation of documentation for OPTIFLO systems/solutions/products (such as SA documentation, O&M manuals, etc) for bids, presentations, customer projects, ITC, etc.
4.Provide technical input, support, and training to Regions to allow local implementation and integration.
5.Take the technical lead in support meetings with customers and customer projects, provide training on the OPTIFLO diagnostic solutions, requirement management, KPI definitions, visualizations, etc.
Education
•Batchelors/Master of Science in Engineering or equivalent, software, hardware, or system development background
Relevant experience required
•Experience, in software/hardware and system development
Specialized or cross-functional knowledge / relevant experience required by the position/role
•Understanding of interfaces of hardware/software.
•Knowledge of applicable standards and regulations.
•Knowledge in product management concepts
•Modelling of Requirements
•Experience in requirement management tools such as DOORS and knowledge in modelling tools and languages like SysML/UML (preferred)
