Job Description

Responsibilities:

Key objectives:

  • Managing effective communications and feedback.
  • Finding cost effective solutions that will work with multiple product categories.
  • Understanding true failure modes and robust solutions that will work in total value chain (PPT, OEM, Distribution Centers).

Key duties:

  • Oversee and manage complete packaging development phase, including, but not limited to:
  • Design packaging solutions that meet requirements of all stakeholders.
  • Work closely with suppliers, engineering, operations and other related functions to create prototypes of packaging solutions.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive test plans to ensure that packaging solutions meet customer expectations.
  • Troubleshoot new and existing packaging problem involving designs, material and processes. Provide creative, timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Analyze engineer drawings and specifications of product to determine physical characteristics of item, special handling, environmental and safety requirements and types of materials required for packaging.
  • Provide technical support and work closely with team involved in manufacturing and implementation processes of product packaging, helping them with any technical guidance and support they may need.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Engineering, Packaging Technology or related fields.
  • 5+ years’ experience in packaging engineer.
  • 3+ years’ experience managing projects from concept to implementation
  • Strong hands on leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to effectively participate on multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Ability to absorb, digest and relate detailed technical, quality, and regulatory information.
  • Well-organized and detailed oriented with solid project manager skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
