Job Description

SSD Manager – Indirect

Roles and Responsibilities:                   

  • Committed to respect specific rules to comply with the WHO Code of Breast Milk Substitutes and any related regulations applying locally
  • Being accountable and responsible for safety
  • Implement Local Sourcing Strategies for category: develop, present and implement strategies
  • Have ownership of local category: market analysis, spend analysis, internal needs, TCO, cost models
  • Secure Supply: risk analysis, dual sourcing, contingency planning, quality, service level
  • Implement local Productivity Projects (Booster) and fill pipeline
  • Innovation: capture innovation from suppliers, contribute to and implement local innovation projects
  • Able to work with X-functional and X-divisional improvement projects on responsible category
  • Manage Supplier Selection and Contracting: develop Supplier Selection Action Plan, lead and execute tenders and negotiations on price, terms & conditions
  • Negotiate, implement and deliver Contracts (incl GTC’s and SCoC) including local implementation, contract compliance, supplier performance, contract status and balance; resolve issues
  • Support Working Capital in categories through payment terms, inventories, lead times, MOQ
  • Supplier Relationship Management: maintain and develop relationships with local suppliers, performance evaluation and feedback
  • Sourcing & Supplier Development Strategy: Support global and local SSD projects
  • To support the special project as company required, consist of data, execution and implementation
  • Ensuring smoothly operation and accuracy


  • Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree is preferred in Business / Engineering / Purchasing & Supply Chain
  • 5 years of experiences of purchasing from FMCG business
  • Purchasing
  • Negotiation / Contract development / Stakeholder management
  • Computer literacy
  • Good command of English
  • Problem analytical skill
