Pöyry is currently looking for Owner’s Engineer’s Site Civil/Structural Engineers onto its new solar PV and wind power projects in Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia. Prior experience of solar or wind power projects, or as minimum of some other type of power plant projects (such as coal, gas or hydropower) is required. Pöyry’s role in these projects is normally the Owner’s Engineer supervising the EPC contractor.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Site Manager, the Site Civil/Structural Engineer shall be responsible for the site supervision of the civil/structural works of the power plant as part of the Owner’s Engineer team.

The qualifications and requirements for the position are:

• A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering.
• At least 5-10 years’ experience as a practicing Civil/Structure Engineer in power plant and other industrial type construction projects
• Good understanding of civil & structural engineering codes & standards
• Good understanding of the standards for civil works, earthwork, piling, concrete and steel structural works, roads, etc.
• Experience in review of detailed design documents of civil and structural works for site design changes including checking of structural calculations and method statements for construction activities.
• Fluent in English
• Team player with good communication skills
• Willingness to be based on construction sites abroad from time to time
