Job Description

Job responsibility
  • Participate in project meetings and work with cross-functional team members to define project objectives, determine appropriate sensory and consumer research methodologies, design research plan, coordinate tests, etc.
  • Independently lead, analyse and interpret experimental data and provide technical recommendations, and report results orally and in written standard report form in English on time with good quality.
  • Generate sensory reports to project leads and articulate sensory findings to internal team to guide new product development work
  • Allocate/coordinate/review optimum resources for sensory evaluation studies and integrate results and knowledge.
  • Build up sensory expertise, tools and techniques; continuously seek for improving sensory evaluation methods and promote the use of sensory evaluation in projects.
  • Coordinate and execute sensory screening for new Thai Union employees as part of Supertaster program maintenance.
  • Train and maintain a pool of screened internal panellists to ensure the accuracy and competency of the sensory results.
  • Ensure that all Sensory work complies with codes of best practice and data protection requirements are adhered to.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory work environment and supplies inventory.
  • Work directly with Sensory Manager to organize documentation and processes in the sensory lab in compliance with Lab Quality System.
  • Must not have seafood and seafood derivative intolerances/allergies


Profile/ Qualifications

Education:

  •  Bachelor in Food Science or equivalent

Experience:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of working experience in sensory science and product development field
  • Good knowledge in different sensory evaluation methodologies
  • Experience with statistical analysis software such as XLStat, SPSS, Minitab and Compusense
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), writing, presentation and communication 


Working Condition:

  • Working day   : Monday to Friday 
  • Working hour  : 08.15 a.m. – 05.15 p.m.
  • Office location : SM Tower (BTS Sanam Pao), Bangkok
