Senior Quality Engineer

Position Summary:
Represents the customer voice and ensures the respect of the customer specific requirements within the plant and is the interface between customer and internal other functions on quality matters.
Is responsible to apply and improve the M+H Management System (MMS) as the mandatory management system in the location. Drives continuous improvement of MMS to reflect the local needs and to comply with the requirements of the relevant certification standard such as ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 and customer specific requirements.
Main Accountabilities:
- Leads the relationship with the customer’s quality responsible after SOP.
- Organizes and supports customer´s quality-related visits and audits. In case of an audit finding, organizes the investigation, correction or corrective action and verification.
- Proactively visits the customer’s site as needed or requested.
- Responsible for working with the customer’s portal for quality related topics
- Monitors and reports the site specific view of quality on the customer´s portals.
- Enters all quality requested data to customer´s portal or answers the customer requests
- Advise and be the expert on the use of customer specific requirements.
- Reviews and submits customer requested documentation such as requalification, data, etc.
- Discuss with customer the PPAP submission requirements in case of changes due to Technical Change Management (TCM) and prepares the customer PPAP submission.
- Manages the deviation process with the customer
- In case of an internal product non-conformance steers the evaluation of the non-conformity based on defined and agreed customer specifications
- In case of a customer complaint (0 km and field) leads the problem solving process with the relevant team. In cases of a formal complaint, reviews and submits the required documentation to the customer and ensures timeliness of submission based on customer’s expectation.
- Has the authority and the responsibility to stop any process or product delivery in case of a serious non-conformance of customer expectations, safety or environmental risks, etc
- Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
- Support continuous improvement of quality related processes and ensures the right application of Q Tools and Q Expertise.
- Supports and advises the Process Owners such that all relevant procedures and standards conform to the required format.
- Create and maintain the location specific process map for applicable processes and the procedure matrix to identify applicable corporate documents
- Maintains information about remote locations and their functions related to the certified location and communicates this information actively to the external auditor and Corporate Quality
- Actively participates in the MMS Global Network to continuously improve standards and procedures
- Actively participates in the DDM (Digital Document Management) Global Network to ensure the system is applied correctly and up to date
- Provides general MMS trainings and communicates global MMS requirements to the local organisation
- Acts as internal MMS and quality management system lead auditor, leads gap assessment activities to applicable procedures and drives actions to comply with system requirements.
- Ensures the completion of internal system and process audits according to formal audit plans and the follow up of effectiveness of subsequent corrective actions
- Responsible to organize and follow the external audits for the plant with the certification body and follow up subsequent corrective actions
- In case any quality system related topic being out of control, escalates to Plant Quality.
Required:
- University degree (Bachelor or Master) in Engineering or business related subject
- At least 3 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing or Production functions in the relevant industry
- Experience in Management Systems, Problem Solving, FMEA, PPAP and Statistics
- Internal Audit qualification in the relevant management systems
Preferred:
- Expertise in Customer Specific Requirements
- External audit qualification in relevant management systems
Language and computer ability:
- Fluent in written and oral English communication or customer’s languages
- Able to use Microsoft office tools

- Strong interpersonal, Communication, Negotiation and Presentation skills
Others:
- Required to travel to upcountry customer/supplier sites and premises to resolve arising issues.
