Job Description


  • Responsible for overall planning of a merchandise category and developing business strategy

  • Responsible for developing an annual operating plan and driving other KPIs, including GMV, profit margin, and net margin
  • Responsible for building and managing a category team and leading the team to achieve KPIs; guide and mentor team and quickly equip them with the professional and leadership skills to succeed in managing each of their respective product lines
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers according to business needs; drive collaboration to achieve business growth
  • Understand and analyze data to derive customer insights; plan and execute campaigns to meet customer needs
  • Drive continuous improvement in business processes and increase team’s overall efficiency
  • Work closely internally with other departments and coordinate both internal and external resources to achieve business goals on behalf of a category and the company
  • Develop people and drive succession planning; build team culture and ensure the company’s core values manifest in every day’s actions


  • Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration or related fields
  • 3 +years of experience in retail or eCommerce for Category Manager 
  • 5+ years in merchandising; experience in managing a category and team preferred for Senior Category Manager 
  • Strategic mindset and a strong sense of the market; have a point of view and direction on where to take the business and ability to drive and execute a long-term business plan
  • Excellent skills in communication, cross-functional collaboration, negotiation and business development
  • Have an open, innovative mind; ability to build a business from the group up
  • Quick learner with strong professional ethics; proactive in solving problems; ability to work under high pressure
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office including Excel and PowerPoint; skilled in data analysis and presentation
  • Excellent business English skills
