Job Description

Job brief
We are looking for an experienced Senior accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions.
Senior accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close
A successful Senior accountant combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.
The ideal candidate has also experience collaborating and/or managing a team of accountants and junior accountants.
Senior accountant duties also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks.

Job Descriptions
- Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
- Provide technical support and advice on Management accountant
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers for subsidiaries
- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance
- Plan, assign and review staff’s work
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Liaise with our Accounting manager to improve financial procedures

Key Qualifications
- Male/Female - At least 3 years of relevant working experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Accounting
- Efficient in Microsoft Office
- Problem solving, Supervisory and team working

We are a new consumer finance startup. From the ground up to 80 branches within just 6 months, with an expansion up to hundreds of branch in 2018. We were led by a young and talented professionals. Our primary focus would be the unbanked sector in Thailand. Those in the unbanked sector usually facing difficulties in obtaining credit to finance their shops, their farms, or to meet short term liquidity needs. We aim to provide them credit and other financial products at very reasonable rate and very generous payment terms. For those willing but unable to pay our debt, we will offer help within reasonable business boundary for them to amend or defer our payments. We also give them financial advice for them to make it through. While popular among other lenders, liquidations will only be our last resort.

Our approach to offer

We don't make generous offer when we offer candidate. Our idea is that we want to weed out job-hopper that is more interested in pay increase rather than the quality of work they will get a chance to. Actually, our offer will always be very modest. However, we offer very steep pay increase for those who perform, typically within short few months (3-4 months) if he/she performs as promised.

The way we work

Our organization is very modern and very flat. No one has their own private room and secretary, including the CEO.

At Ngernturbo, we work extremely hard and is very professional. We value the outcome more than the effort. Outcome is simple to measure and less subjective. If your role is not customer facing, we don't really care about the little annoying things that really don’t matter such as your arrival time or where you work. However, at Ngernturbo, deadline is deadline and you will evaluate purely on the quality of your work.
