B.L. Harbert International L.L.C., a construction company, is seeking a Safety Supervisor to work on our project site in Chiang Mai.

Requirements:

• Local Hire
• English speaking and reading
• Be safety qualified in Thailand’s construction practices, and to be willing to be trained accordingly in all aspects of site health and safety in accordance with the United States Army Corps of Engineers EM385-1-1
• Be aware of COVID secure practices in accordance with Thai Government guidelines and assist in COVID management of staff accessing and egressing from site

Responsibilities:

• Supervise safety provision across site and promote a positive safety culture and the safety ethos of BLHI following guidance from safety manager
• Supervise and lead a team of safety monitors and where possible, identify continuous improvement opportunities for the safety team
• Ensure the safety team control and maintain a safety store
• Assist in training of personnel where possible
• Monitor the safe erection of scaffold following guidance from safety manager
• Monitor the safety of excavations and any confined space following guidance from safety manager
• Monitor the safe process of removal of asbestos and associated demolition following guidance from safety manager
• Monitor safe working at height following guidance from the safety manager
• Ensure electrical safety standards are maintained in keeping with guidance from electrical team manager and safety manager
• Promote and control safe movement of people and vehicles around site
• Ensure safety team monitors safe use of tools, machinery and equipment following guidance from respective trade experts and safety manager
• Assist in accident and incident investigation, gathering information and knowledge relating to the respective accident/incident
• Monitor and report to safety manager any safety related issues within the site based health clinic

 Qualifications:

•  At least 5 years of experience in the same field
