Revenue Senior Accountant

The Revenue Senior Accountant is responsible for managing and overseeing end-to-end the Revenue Accounting function for a function-specific, business sector-specific or country-specific sub-group under R2R team as well as the responsibilities of reviewing and coaching assigned by the line manager.

Responsibilities:

R2R Management

• Oversee the processing, reporting, transactions and closing process for all Revenue matters including:
  • Review and analysis Advertising spending
  • Reporting and consolidation

• Ensure high quality and accuracy of work and service bythe subordinate R2R team through regular review, checks and approval
• Ensure that R2R function follows proper procedures in accordance with corporate company accounting policy
• Ensure that service levels and targets are met, and service is delivered to customers in accordance to defined Service Level Agreements
• Proactively identify, rectify and follow-up errors and causes of errors and resolvecomplex or critical process issues which go beyond R2R team members’ capabilities
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all aspects of R2R matters
• Oversees the monthly, quarterly and year-end Revenue closing process and coordinate with respective parties as required (e.g. other teams, customer contact)
• Manage generation and analysis of reports
• Assist in developing policies and procedures where required to ensure that service levels are met
• Escalate issues to R2R team lead when necessary to avoid delays in processing
• Maintain relationships with all markets and business sector(s) serviced by Local Global Finance Services

Audit and Compliance

• Ensure current processes, operations, systems, databases and information security are up to date and comply with proper accounting and legal principles/policies/procedures, including GAAP,
• Company WWP (worldwide procedures), SOX and others
• Support auditors and legal authorities with the execution of required activities – ensure staff and information are available as required.
  

Customer Service

• Develop effective working relationships with key stakeholders (external / internal customers, co-workers)
• Maintain professional attitude during service delivery and resolution of issues
• Perform problem tracking and ensure that issues are escalated in a timely manner and properly documented, prioritized, tracked, and resolved.
  

Continuous Improvement

• Work with R2R team and Team Lead to identify opportunities for continuous process improvement / innovate solutions / system enhancements related to the R2R function.

Reviewing and Coaching

• Reviewing financial transactions or reports processed by other GA Accountants as assigned.
• Providing coaching to new joiners or junior GA Accountants as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Master or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum 5 years of experience in accountancy and auditing experience
• Experience in Shared Services Center from multi-national company in FMCG or Pharmaceuticals
• Good English capability
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
